Is Better World Book A Scam?

I couldn't be sure whether this is a scam or not. And I wouldn't want to introduce the wrong thing to my readers. If any of you heard about this and you're reading this, please leave me some comments.

Better World Book  is claiming that they collect book donations from library and schools for charity. They will donate money to Africa and will raise fund for schools and libraries from the books they recycled.

I've been searching through the website to check on it. The websites from Better wolrd book is flooding the search engine's result. There are many posts from wordpress

praising it and some even said Better World Book is on CNN's news. But some of these wordpress only have a few posts, which is somehow not reliable, and I also saw some which is well-maintained.

Then I search for scam or fraud, and many are complaining that the Better World Book is sending them the wrong edition book and delaying their shipment. But, I also found that some of the comments are either copy-pasted or it is in very similar situation. But how possible people will have the same situation that they order the American edition and they received international edition? So, it somehow makes me feel like the bad comments are from competitors.

If I were to judge only from what I've read, and  looking at the search result from Google, I'll have to say that Better World Book is certainly not a scam. It is because it has an established website, has abundant people making reviews which is on their side and is also doing a great job to cover all the complaints. I can hardly find complaints about it.

But, think from another angle. What if they are the real scam? They earn big money, huge profit that they have enough money to hire many good writers to write for them. Of course, this will be able to make a good reputation for them.

However, I believe also that consumers certainly have the power to

reveal it, if it is really a scam. Unless Better World Book is doing a good job, sending the correct book in time, consumers will certainly file complaints or write reviews on the internet. Where are they? Better World Book only has the right to remove complaints on their site or on posts which is on their side, but they can never stop writers to not writing complaints on their blogs or comments. So, does this means Better World Book is reliable?

I'm sitting on the fence. It's very hard to know the real story. Internet makes it so easy to bring up the  reputation of a company (writing more compliments) or destroying it within your ten fingers (just type all the negative comments on any social network and start spreading it like wild fire).

If you've purchased books from them and if you're satisfied, tell me. But I can't be sure whether it's again the genuine consumers or again the hired commenters. Actually, I wouldn't care whether they are really doing charity, what I care is only whether they send the correct book to their consumers as promised. It is because, whether they are doing the charity, it's not what I can control. It's either the government will take actions, or just leave it to the God. Cursing or pointing doesn't make any changes. But, if tthey are not giving good services as promised, then I'll say this is a scam. I wouldn't want to reccommend something which is a fraud to my readers.
